About
Two days after her mother's funeral, Jay was dumped on her half-brother's doorstep, a cabin in the middle of the Colorado woods. Despite only being 18, Flip took her in. He joined the police academy shortly thereafter as a means to provide for them both.Although Flip attempted to provide her love and care, Jay felt a hole in her heart that both her father's abuse and her mother's absence had left. She spent her teenage years in an alcoholic haze and a slew of abusive relationships, forcing Flip to continually beat the shit out of every guy boy that mistreated her.Despite all of her troubles, Jay found refuge in art. When Flip realized how much painting aided her rehabilitation, he ensured she had access to any materials she might need to create.It wasn't until Jay got clean that she realized how much Flip sacrificed just to keep her alive. She attempted to pay him back for years, taking a job at a small diner in the outskirts of Colorado Springs in order to cover some of their expenses. But Flip wouldn't hear of it.So she continue to make art, living in the attic floor of Flip's cabin and putting in late night shifts at the bar. Flip remained protective as ever, always checking on her whereabouts, making sure she was eating enough food and getting enough sleep. She was more than capable of taking care of herself, a 25 year old woman, but her brother refused to let up.Jay eventually realized that her presence was holding Flip back. He hooked up with plenty of women at bars, but refused to settle down and find love, all for the sake of Jay. He didn't realize that she was her own person.So she quietly applied to an intensive art program in NYC. She wanted space to breathe, and more importantly, she was eager for her painting career to take off. Once she received her acceptance letter, Jay quietly packed her bags, and headed off to a small flat she'd found in the heart of the city, only leaving a small note behind. Flip hasn't contacted her since.Jay has only recently moved out of Flip's house and began her adventures in NYC. She works odd jobs at cafes and diners to pay the bills while attending her art program.

Jay is known for being mischevious, cheeky, and a friendly flirt. She enjoys adventures in both the city and the woods, due to her mixed upbringing. She's as comfortable hanging out in a bar as she is fishing on a lake in the middle of the wilderness.Although she is extremely outgoing, she prefers having light hearted friendships and often doesn't delve into her sordid past unless she feels safe with a person, a trust that takes a long time to build.She's not afraid to speak her mind, and has been known to kick ass if she feels it's necessary.Jay's main universe is her living as a human, but she is open to all AU's and storylines. She has been written in supernatural/space/medieval AU's. Feel free to message me with a plot idea!
